Meet Briana Ford

Briana Thompson Ford, MPH, is a quantitative researcher, data scientist, statistical programming professional, and population data expert with over 10 years of experience designing and implementing complex, multi-level analyses on large datasets. For six years, she was a principal data analytic consultant for South Carolina Medicaid, evaluating and reporting on the efficacy of Medicaid policy via post-hoc review of program data. This work required her to translate key policy and program stakeholder questions into research and analysis plans, which she conducted independently and validated independently.

Her experience as a public health researcher necessitates that she make data-driven decisions, use statistics to quantify program effects, and define meaningful thresholds of effect to inform her stakeholder audiences about the power of various program policies to impact the public’s health.

Briana has a master’s degree in public health from the Arnold School of Public Health at the University of South Carolina and a bachelor’s degree in neuropsychology from Oberlin College. She is an active member of the American Evaluation Association and the South Carolina Public Health Association.
